The Flanagans

Brian and Michelle, the front half of the Halifax Wharf Rats, are the Flanagans. Brian and Michelle entertain as a duo and sometimes trio, singing and performing with acoustic guitar, piano and flute/piccolo/fife/irish whistle. Their extensive repertoire includes Canadian and American folk, from Canadian classics such as “The Log Driver’s Waltz”, Gordon Lightfoot, Stan Rogers, Neil Young, Ian and Sylvia Tyson’s “Four Strong Winds” –  to Johnny Cash, John Denver, the Beatles, Eagles and David Gray, and fun songs like “These Boots are Made for Walking” and “Crazy”. Add Irish and Scottish folk music, songs from Atlantic Canada, and the result is the Flanagans get people singing, dancing and jigging about.
