Michelle has been a member of local Celtic group Blackthorn since 1994. During this time, she has performed as flute/whistle/piccolo/fife player as well as both lead vocalist and backup vocals on four recordings, as well as specialty releases such as “A Magical History Tour” (Fort Langley National Historic Site).
With Blackthorn, Michelle has toured extensively and performed all around BC, Washington, Alberta, Saskatchewan, and even Missouri.
Michelle’s original compositions have been recorded and performed by Blackthorn, receiving airplay on CBC as well as several different local radio stations. Michelle’s single celebrating her home province of Saskatchewan, “Open Skies” was recorded with Blackthorn and is available on iTunes and for download.
